While most scholarships listed on FastWeb receive thousands of applications, local scholarships usually get 30, 40, 50 applications. I would recommend checking with the local chamber of commerce, Rotary Clubs, Kiwanis Clubs, Lions Clubs, and also calling the state department of higher education. Many of the state department of higher educations keep a list of local foundations. Good luck! A little work on research ahead of time can go a long way.
