I am one of those people from the old school and as far as I can remember it is a lot better for you to go to school while working. What I mean is get a full or part time job and use the moeny you earn to help you go to school. That way you don't have to deal with debts. I am not being harsh here but the reality is when you graduate with a student loan you will working to pay off your student loans and at this point you will be at least 3 to four years older. And tehn you atart your professional life with debt instead of starting clean.
Thanks

Well you don't need a loan to go to college anyway, you should go debt free. see daveramsey.com for more info. But I mean really, get out of college and then have to start paying on this massive debt? Its just not smart, plus so many students use the debt to pay for non school related things. I went to college with no debt, just need a different approach.

It's going to be a rough year for student loans and scholarships across the board, unfortunately. I'll be interested to see how this market affects college endowments. Places that usually see huge returns might find themselves with a little less new cash than they have had in years past.

Coming from the commonwealth of Massachusetts myself and being in college this is a disappointment. Fortunately I'm not in community college so this most likely will not affect me this year but surely if the economy keeps on worsening it may.
